GET A TICKET AND BE PART OF RUGBY HISTORY

-

If you haven’t got a ticket to Saturday’s rugby union double-header it’s not too late. Tickets are almost gone with fewer than 1000 tickets left for sale. Townsville has once again shown that the community is keen to support major sporting events.

It’s great news for the region because the more the community supports events the more they will continue to come to Townsville and showcase this great city.

Tomorrow it is estimated about 100 million people will tune in to watch the two blockbusters from all around the world.

The city has embraced union and the competing teams with open arms this week, with locals relishing the chance to meet some of the code’s best players.

Townsville Mayor Jenny Hill made the biggest call of the week saying the match would top Townsville’s State of Origin. In rugby league heartland that’s a massive statement.

But she cited the worldwide audience of 100 million as reason enough to put the spectacle ahead of Origin.
