$700 fine for ride

A YOUNG man who repeatedly drove without a licence was fined $700 after being sentenced for driving a motorcycle without a licence in Kirwan.

Brodie Roy Les Johnsson appeared in Townsville Magistrates Court on Friday. He was pulled up by police on July 27 for driving an unregistered, uninsured motorcycle that was not fitted with safety or brake lights. A check on his licence revealed Johnsson was also unlicensed. He was fined a total of $700 and disqualified from driving for one month. No conviction was recorded.
