The first is the site of the Criterion Hotel on The Strand and the second Dean Park near the stadium.

There are pros and cons to both sites but what Townsville really needs is consensus on this issue and quickly.

The faster work is under way the better for the region fighting for survival in a post Covid -19 world.

All levels of government need to get together on this.

Work out a plan, get the community on board and get this project in motion.

We can’t afford for it to wither on the vine like so many other promises.
