CITY’S COVID CASE SPARKS URGENT VACCINATION PUSH

A COVID-19 positive man roaming the streets of the CBD for eight days should be the wake-up call the city’s residents need to get vaccinated.

With Townsville’s vaccination rate plateauing and falling behind the rest of the state, health professionals such as Michael Clements (right) are urging the community to get the jab before it’s too late. For months, they have warned it was only a matter of time before the virus took hold in Townsville.
