Arrest over shop theft
POLICE have caught up with a man who allegedly robbed a Townsville chemist at knifepoint earlier this week.
On Tuesday, the 35-yearold man allegedly walked into a pharmacy on Flinders St and handed the attendant a note demanding restricted prescription drugs.
The man was also allegedly armed with a small knife and threatened the employee.
The attendant obliged, and handed over an amount of prescription drugs. The attendant was unharmed.
The Railway Estate man was arrested and charged with enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence and armed robbery.
He faced court on Friday.
