PALMER’S $28M HOME SPLURGE
QUEENSLAND’S richest man Clive Palmer has cemented his title as king of Sovereign Islands on the Gold Coast, splashing more than $28m on three mansions.
He this week emerged as the buyer of a $4.5m Sovereign Islands property at Parklane Tce.
Selling agent Chris Moyer would not disclose the buyer or price, however government land title reports revealed Mr Palmer as the purchaser.
The four-level residence has five bedrooms, six bathrooms and plenty of space to entertain. “It is a beautiful northeast facing property on the Broadwater and it is ultra modern,” Mr Moyer said.
That transaction took place a few weeks before Mr Palmer dropped $20m on a futuristic-looking mega mansion at King Arthurs Court that adjoins his existing Sovereign Islands home. Mr Palmer also paid $4.001m at auction for 54 Royal Albert Cres, Sovereign Islands two weeks ago.
