Covid texts start today

MILLIONS of Queenslanders will soon receive text messages reminding them to get vaccinated.

The state government-led initiative is set to kick off at midday today, and is the latest effort in bolstering Covid-19 vaccination rates.

Health Minister Yvette D’ath said when more vaccines were received from the federal government, the state government would continue to ramp up their rollout efforts.

“Campaigns like this will give thousands of Queenslanders the extra encouragement they need to protect themselves and their families,” Ms D’ath said.
