GOAL SET FOR 2032 GAMES

FOSTERING Indigenous businesses is a key focus in the lead-up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympics, with the government setting a 10-year goal to support operators.

Minister for Employment and Small Business Di Farmer said business owners and operators in Townsville would get the chance to have their say on what they needed at a series of events across the state this month, which coincides with Indigenous

Business Month. “The government has set a 10-year goal to foster and encourage Indigenous business across the state in the leadup to 2032 Olympics,” she said.

“We want to ensure Indigenous businesses are best positioned to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime event.”

The Townsville region will host several events for Indigenous business operators to help connect them with opportunities.
