Old-fashioned customer service has a new look

- CAMERON BATES

AN ICONIC Ingham business with a history spanning more than seven decades has been given a major makeover.

Sadleirs Pharmacy, opened by Sid Sadleir at 1 Lannercost St in 1950, has undergone a transformation and been rebranded as TerryWhite Chemmart Ingham.

Craig Menegon, who along with fellow pharmacist Chris Holland purchased the business from Jim Busuttin in 2015, said the makeover was well overdue and would increase services to clients and offer an increased range of top-quality products.

Mr Menegon said new services included medication reviews and expanded vaccination services.

In addition to the interior renovations, the pharmacy has been given a fresh exterior paint job, and the business now stands out like a giant green beacon on the Bruce Highway.

“We debated whether or not to paint it up like that and ultimately it was a good idea,” Mr Menegon said.

He said that in keeping with the principles of the past owner, the pharmacy and its dozen staff prided themselves

on customer service.

“That’s the biggest thing that we expect from our staff – to have that relationship

with customers and to do whatever we can to make life easier for our customers,” Mr Menegon said.

Terrywhite Chemmart Ingham will hold a ribboncutting and cake-cutting ceremony to launch the new

look at 10am on Friday.

Mr Menegon said the pharmacy would offer a range of specials on its new products

throughout the day.

Off-street parking is available at the rear of the business.
