Two hurt as caravan rolls on the highway

TWO people were injured when an SUV which was towing a caravan rolled on the Bruce Highway between Ingham and Cardwell on Monday.

Emergency services, including Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services officers, rushed to the crash scene, on the Ingham side of the Cardwell ranges, at 10.16am.

The vehicle, which had been travelling south, came to a rest on the northbound lane of the highway thanks to a guard rail which stopped it from careening into a ravine.

Both occupants of the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
