Saviours in gong finals

A GROUP formed in the wake of the 2019 floods is in the running for a national award.

The Townsville Community Rebuild Project won the community category in the state finals for the 2021 Resilient Australia Awards.

The project aimed to ‘ make a house a home again’ for residents unable to get their homes habitable after the monsoon. Townsville Community Rebuild Project will now be considered for a national award at the National Resilient Australia Awards ceremony in November.
