Head to head battles on greyhounds track

-

ANDREW Wooler will seek to stamp his mark on Townsville Greyhounds yet again today.

The prominent trainer’s Plain and Simple (2) will enter the TESTEL Townsville 4/5th Grade over 498m as the favourite, backed with a strong draw, good box manners and a best time of 28.79 seconds.

However, he will face stiff competition from the likes of Paul Smith and his contender Quinn Bale (7). With a best time of 28.86 he looms as the biggest danger to the favourite.

Race 8 is the KEYFLO Best 8 over 380m, with Stratford (7) for Rhonda Essery starting as the short-priced favourite. He ran third at his last start over 498m behind Excuse Me Jack, and today he is back to the sprint and expected to run another bold race.

Winter Ghost (1) for Glen Olsen will be the big danger to the favourite.
