TOWNSVILLE has missed out on another major opportunity with Gladstone scoring a $1bn project, which will become the largest hydrogen-equipment manufacturing plant in the world.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced the project with Fortescue Metals representatives in Gladstone on Sunday.
