Man crushed at Townsville workplace
A MAN has been taken to hospital after it’s understood he was crushed by a piece of machinery at a Townsville workplace.
A spokeswoman for the Queensland Ambulance Service said they were called to a workplace in Bohle just before 2.30pm on Friday.
The spokeswoman said they were called to the business on Elquestro Way after a “machinery incident”.
It’s understood a man was crushed by an excavator at the site.
Paramedics treated the man for back, pelvis and leg injuries at the scene before he was transported to Townsville University Hospital in a stable condition.
A spokesman for Workplace Health and Safety Queensland said it had not been notified of the incident.
