WOOLF MAKES IT A DOUBLE
FORMER Townsville Blackhawks and Ignatius Park College coach Kristian Woolf has added his name to the history books at St Helens after coaching the side to back-toback Super League titles.
The 12-10 grand final win over Catalans Dragons, was the third-straight premiership for the famed English club after Justin Holbrook took them to the title in 2019.
Woolf has spearheaded the past two campaigns that have been built on the back of hard work and grit, which has become a staple of the young coach.
St Helens became only the second club in Super League history to win three straight titles, equalling Leeds Rhinos’ success in the mid 2000s.
“It’s a very deserved win from a group of blokes who haven’t just worked hard this year, but worked hard for three years to put themselves in this position,” Woolf said.
