Teenager’s big role in Small Halls

- TRUDY BROWN

FESTIVAL of Small Halls is returning to Charters Towers at the St Paul’s Playhouse with a young performer set to join the visiting artists on stage.

All Souls St Gabriels School year 11 student Annabella Keough will open the show.

Bella has won many prizes for her country pop singing, including the 2021 Charters Towers Performing Arts Bursary for Most Promising Vocalist.

The festival is a series of tours that takes the best folk and contemporary acoustic artists and sends them on the road to tiny halls all over the country.

This year, Queenslander Darren Hanlon and South Australian Kelly Brouhaha will be the guest singers at the event on October 22.

To purchase tickets go to www. visitcharterstowers .com.au or phone council on 4761 5300.
