DOUBLE BEDS READY FOR BLOCK STARS
A PAIR of Townsville reality stars are celebrating the birth of their new daughter and said she may take after her mother and have a love for interior design.
Jesse and Kenny Mountford welcomed their daughter Portia to the world at the Mater Mothers’ Private Hospital on Thursday.
The couple starred on The Block, Fans v Faves in 2014.
Portia is the couple’s third child, after Carter and Valentino.
The pair were able to take advantage of the new double beds at the Mater, enabling Mr Mountford to join his wife and newborn on her first night in the world.
“The beds are great – I slept on the green chairs with the other two kids and didn’t get a lot of sleep, so to be able to be in a double bed with Jesse and cuddle Portia safely was great,” Mr Mountford said.
Mrs Mountford said it was too early to tell, but Portia may even an eye for interior design like her mum.
“If she’s anything like her older sister, she’ll love coming to the warehouse and playing with all the cushions and other furnishing,” she said.
The Burdell pair left their previous jobs as a truck driver and miner at an open cut copper mine outside Cloncurry to settle in Townsville.
The move has allowed them to flourish with their business, Townsville Home Staging, where they provide interior design and fit-outs for homes before they’re sold.
