Boom lifts space at hub
Quality office site hooks crane firm
Asx-listed crane services company Boom Logistics has secured a new corporate office in Mackay at Sentinel Property Group’s The Hub @ Greenfields.
Boom Logistics has taken a three-year lease for a 419sq m tenancy in the commercial building on the corner of Greenfields Blvd and Grandview Drive, Mount Pleasant.
Sentinel leasing executive Michael Wanklin said Boom Logistics was relocating its Mackay office from an industrial property in Paget and would be constructing a new fit-out at The Hub, which was now 97 per cent occupied.
Mr Wanklin said Boom Logistics, which operates a nationwide network delivering lifting solutions across all sectors, chose The Hub because of the building’s quality, corporate appearance, proximity to amenities and car parking. The Hub is a two-level commercial building which offers in excess of 3600sq m of office space.
The building was completed in 2013 and provides the highest quality office space in Mackay with excellent natural light, a five-star NABERS rating and a large floor plate.
Boom Logistics is Australia’s only Asx-listed, largescale lifting solutions specialist, equipped with one of Australia’s largest fleets of specialist lifting equipment.
The mining and resources sector is a major customer base for Boom Logistics which is leasing the office tenancy for gross rent of $400 a square metre.
Established in 2010, Brisbane-based Sentinel has a national portfolio of more than 60 retail, industrial, office, land, tourism infrastructure and agribusiness assets worth in excess of $1.3bn.
