HARVEST FESTIVITIES CONTINUE THIS WEEKEND
THE Home Hill Harvest festivities continue this week with the Iron Man challenge this afternoon at Watson’s Green.
The Iron Man Challenge will feature a ninja park challenge, one tonne challenge, a get fit bench press and power challenge, as well as individual men and woman challenges.
In the individual challenges, the men and woman will have to carry two empty kegs and sprint for 15metres, before sprinting to a bench press. They will then need to perform five bench presses (50kg for men, 30kg for women) before engaging in a 15-metre sprint.
Competitors will then perform a 10-metre tyre flip, and will have to carry 20kg fertiliser bags for 15metres, before carrying weights (2x15kg for men, 2x10kg for women) throughout the tyre course.
The event will finish with 10 push-ups and a sprint finish.
On Saturday, the festivities will continue with Oktoberfest at the Burdekin Race Club, with gates opening at 1.30pm. Tickets are $20 and are available to buy via Facebook or Home Hill Newsagency.
