LEGO TO THRILL YOUNG AND OLD

- TONY RAGGATT

EXCITED LEGO fans, both young and old, will be headed to Stockland Townsville for the opening of the toy company’s first regional Queensland certified store.

From basic bricks in $4.99 minibuild bags to the ultimate Star Wars collector series priced at $1100, this

LEGO store has it all.

Stockland Townsville centre manager Andrew Stallan said he was thrilled to have such an iconic international brand at the centre.

“Being the most northern store outside Brisbane, I think it’s really going to add to the customer experience for the people coming to Stockland Townsville. We are so

excited and it’s just in time for Christmas,” Mr Stallan said. Apart from unique works by certified professional LEGO builder Ryan Mcnaught, the store features a do-ityourself pick-a-brick wall, a minifigure building station and a digital box monitor, which assembles the bricks to show you the finished piece.

There are some 15 themes, from classic to speed champions, Super Mario, Minecraft, Disney princess, Ninjago, superheroes, Harry Potter, Jurassic World and Star Wars.

Creator expert sets include the 9036-piece Colosseum to the 2354piece NASA space shuttle.

The store’s brick specialists say adults are just as big fans, if not bigger, than the kids.
