Teen hurt at waterhole
PARAMEDICS rushed to the aid of a teenager who reportedly slipped and fell at a popular North Queensland swimming hole on Sunday afternoon.
Initial reports suggested that a 19-year-old hit their head on rocks at Little Crystal Creek, off Mount Spec Rd, just after 2pm.
A Rural Fire and Emergency Service inspector who was at the scene of the accident rendered first aid until paramedics arrived.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the teenager suffered wrist, face and chest injuries and was taken to Townsville University Hospital in a stable condition.
