MASTERCHEF JUDGE IS RIDING WAVE OF SUCCESS
MASTERCHEF judge Andy Allen’s Three Blue Ducks restaurant continues to ride the wave of success, despite a turbulent 12 months.
Allen’s first Melbourne eatery opened at Tullamarine surf park Urbnsurf between the city’s two major lockdowns and was thrown several challenges in that time.
“We’ve been really surprised at how many punters aren’t coming out just for the wave pool,” Allen said.
The farm-to-table restaurant has cut the price of its seven-course feed-me menu to $70 per person – $10 per dish – throughout May.
Allen, filming Masterchef
Australia in Tasmania this week, said he was still settling into life in Melbourne, after moving from Sydney seven months ago.
“There is so much on your doorstep, you don’t need to cross the other side of the river,” he said.
“You need to force yourself outside of your comfort zone.”
