Food for thought post pandemic

A FIRST of its kind hospitality event will bring together some of Australia’s leading food technology experts to help North Queensland venue operators.

Held at The Ville Resort-casino next Tuesday, the Hospo Techtalk will serve up the best advice and strategies to help local hospitality businesses overcome current challenges to thrive in the post-pandemic world.

The event is curated by local hospitality expert and founder of PEISO profitability software, Ivan Brewer, who said it was crucial that NQ hospitality operators adapted to technology to enable them trade profitably after the pandemic. “Hospitality is Townsville’s third largest private employer, and there’s no doubt that the industry is under immense strain at the moment,” Mr Brewer said.

He said the reliance on takeaway during the Covid-19 lockdowns had irreversibly changed the way that Australians purchased food and the way that operators sold it.
