CAST YOUR VOTE, THEN HIT TRACK AT BURDEKIN GROWERS RACE DAY

-

WHILE Australian Electoral Commission staff will be counting votes, punters will be counting their money ahead of one of the region’s biggest events of the year, the Burdekin Growers Race Day on Saturday, May 21.

Thousands of punters from across

North Queensland are expected to head to the track for the actionpacked program of events.

Racegoers will have the chance of a windfall when they enter the gate thanks to a $35 gate entry ticket that includes a scratchie.

Patrons will need to fill out their

name and details and place the ticket in the barrel near the Wilmar Sugar stage to go into the draw for a range of prizes in the Hit 103.1 Mega Prize Draw and Star Liquor $100 super bets.

The first 1000 patrons through the gate will also receive an entry form to fill in and then place in the Don West

Toyota Treasure Chest. There will also be two $500 cash prizes and two travel getaways to be won on the day.

Racing guide information on all TAB racing and the final acceptance fields of the local races in Home Hill will be printed in the May 20 and May 21 editions of the Townsville Bulletin.
