Charges laid for scissors stabbing
A WOMAN has been charged after she allegedly stabbed a man at a North Queensland address early on Friday.
Police allege the 22-yearold woman stabbed a 34-yearold man in the leg with scissors following a verbal altercation at a Mount Isa address.
The man and woman are known to each other.
Queensland Police said in a statement that the 34-yearold man had been taken to Mount Isa Base Hospital and that a crime scene had been established.
The woman was charged with unlawful wounding (domestic violence offence), and was denied police bail.
She was due to appear in Mount Isa Magistrates Court later on Friday.
