DROWNED BOYS’ MUM DIES
THE mother to three of the victims in one of Australia’s most tragic and infamous crimes has died.
Cindy Gambino, the mother of three boys who were murdered by their father at a Winchelsea dam in 2005, died on Tuesday at just 50 years of age after suffering a medical episode at her home on Sunday.
Her ex-husband Robert Farquharson deliberately drove his car off the Princes
Highway into the dam on Father’s Day, leaving the boys to drown as he swam away.
In a statement released on Thursday, Ms Gambino’s family remembered her as a “warrior for justice”.
“Cindy has been a warrior for justice since losing her three sons, Jai, Tyler and Bailey, in an act of vehicular murder committed by their father, Robert Farquharson on 4 September 2005,” they said.
