CRASH ESCAPE

EMERGENCY services rushed to the scene of serious motor vehicle crash west of Townsville on Sunday.

A single vehicle left the Flinders Highway at Mingela about 42km east of Charters Towers before 5pm.

The single occupant of the vehicle was initially reported as unconscious with difficulty breathing, but freed himself of the car and was in a stable condition.
