- DANIEL SHIRKIE

TWO high-profile literary classics will be coming to the Townsville Civic Theatre stage thanks to New Zealand theatre company A Slightly Isolated Dog.

Literary classic Don Juan and the ghoulish Jekyll and Hyde will be performed live on Tuesday and Wednesday evening.

Both of the shows come with strong recommendations from Townsville City Council’s Community and Cultural Development Committee chairwoman AnnMaree Greaney.

“You’re guaranteed a good night out if you head along to either Don Juan on

Tuesday or Jekyll and Hyde on Wednesday,” |Ms Greaney said.

“A Slightly Isolated Dog is an innovative company that pushes the envelope and ramps up the energy for each and every performance. I have no doubt that audiences from either show will be stoked by the time the lights go down.”

Tickets are available through Townsville City Council’s What’s On website.

“As the arts and culture capital of Northern Australia, council is proud to put world-class theatre on local stages. These two shows will be great for the public to enjoy as well as for aspiring thespians to be inspired by,” Ms Greaney said.
