In-form star set to fire

GREYHOUND racing returns to the Townsville Showgrounds on Tuesday afternoon with an outstanding 12-race program including the highly anticipated Open 643m.

Race 5 is the Matthew Ashelford Open over 643m.

Favourite for this race will be the in-form No Regrets (2) trained by Robert Lound.

She has had eight starts here for six wins and a second with a best time of 37.58, she has drawn well and will be difficult to beat from this position.

Cascade Monelli (7) for Ken Boody ran a good secondplace here last Tuesday night at her first look at the track and distance, she will be the big danger to the favourite.

Just Too Fancy (3) for Brad Belford is having her first start over the distance tonight, she has been finishing off her races over the 498m strongly, market best guide.

Golden Worm (4) for Scott Atkinson ran a creditable fifth at his first start here last Tuesday night behind No Regrets.

He will strip fitter for the race and could surprise with a good run.
