DOLPHINS SIGN WINGER

FORMER State of Origin winger Edrick Lee will reunite with master coach Wayne Bennett in 2023 after signing to join the Dolphins for the new club’s debut season.

Lee, who was given his Queensland debut by Bennett, has signed a two-year deal and will leave Newcastle after four seasons with the Knights.

A foot injury kept Lee out of the entire 2021 season, but the 29-year old made his return to the NRL in round 6 this year and has since played every game for the struggling Knights.

That ability to get back to first grade was what enticed Dolphins chief executive Terry Reader to sign Lee for the new club.

“It is this type of attitude that gives us confidence he will be a major contributor for the Dolphins in 2023 and beyond,” he said.
