Townsville perfect position for outfit
A SPECIALIST in intelligent positioning systems has opened a branch in Townsville to service the needs of the local and regional Queensland markets.
Position Partners marked the opening of its office in North Ward with an event on Tuesday.
It was attended by its CEO Martin Nix, Queensland region manager Harry Katsanevas and local customers including Townsville Earthmoving and Brazier Motti.
With more than 300 peo
ple in offices throughout Australia, Southeast Asia and New Zealand, Position Partners focuses on the distribution and support of intelligent positioning solutions for geospatial, construction and mining projects.
Mr Katsanevas said they were excited to welcome customers to their new Townsville branch.
“Position Partners is committed to supporting the industries we serve throughout metro and regional Queensland, through our branches in Brisbane, Townsville and support hubs in Mackay and Rockhampton,” Mr Katsanevas said. Position Partners is the exclusive Australian distributor for Japanese manufacturer Topcon’s machine control and positioning systems.
Position Partners complements Topcon’s range of retrofit machine control and
survey solutions with intelligent safety systems, on-board weighing, aerial and terrestrial mapping instruments and condition and vibration monitoring platforms.
For the resources sector, fleet management systems and high precision machine guidance options are coupled with all makes and models of mine-spec plant.
Mr Katsanevas said that whether people wanted a quick clean and calibration for their laser or would like to discuss a range of safety issues, machine control or their Global Navigation Satellite System requirements they
should come into the office. Director of Townsville Earthmoving, Teri Humphreys, along with Peter Murphy, survey discipline Manager and director at Brazier Motti, helped to officially open the branch.
Ms Humphreys said it was great to have the support of a local branch for their machine control equipment and service needs.
Mr Murphy said while they had always been supported by the Brisbane office and wider group, having a full-time team dedicated to local customers was very positive.
