The 75th annual Cannes Film Festival, where A-listers and film professionals strut their stuff in the south of France, is in full swing.

But we can all catch the Sydney Film Festival, now in its 69th year, from June 8-19. The popular event is based at its flagship venue, the State Theatre, though the world’s best new films will be shown in cinemas throughout Sydney.

The festival also includes premieres, talks and parties.
