Praise for Postecoglou continues to flow in

-

TRIUMPHANT Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has made it a clean sweep of Scotland’s major coaching awards.

Just days after the ex-socceroos coach lifted the Scottish Premiership trophy in his first season in charge of the Hoops, Postecoglou was named Scotland’s manager of the year.

It was the third time in the space of a few weeks that Postecoglou’s work had been recognised, with the former Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory coach having also collected the PFA Scotland and Scottish Football Writers’ Association manager of the year awards.

“It is very pleasing to win awards such as this and it shows we have been doing something right and achieved success,” said Postecoglou, who led Celtic to not only the premiership but also Scottish League Cup glory.

“It has been earned by the whole group of players and staff at the club as a true collective. We’ll dedicate this one to all our fans who have given us such phenomenal support during the season.”

The Hoops celebrated their 10th title in 11 seasons in fine style with a 6-0 weekend thrashing of Motherwell at Celtic Park.
