RAIN CHANCE FOR VOTERS
THIS dramatic cloudburst over Townsville yesterday could be a precursor to the days ahead as we
prepare to line up to cast our votes in the federal election. Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Steven Hadley said there would be a couple of showers around the district, but
not as widespread as further south. “There is a slight chance for rain in Townsville on election day, a medium chance for Ayr and Home Hill area and a slight chance for Charters Towers and Ingham,” the senior meteorologist said.
He said there could be more showers next week, but temperatures would remain steady.
