Industry gurus head to forum
THE official program has been released for the inaugural Farming in Focus Forum, to be held at the Ayr Showgrounds on Friday, May 27.
The forum, which is part of Townsville Enterprise’s Secure the Future event series, will feature presentations from key industry professionals as well as updates from state and federal agencies.
Burdekin Council Mayor Lyn Mclaughlin said the event would be of benefit to everyone who was involved in the North Queensland agricultural sector.
“Council looks forward to hosting the 2022 Farming in Focus Forum, proudly supported by QSL and Townsville Enterprise, which will feature a range of topics presented by industry specialists,” Ms Mclaughlin said.
“Guests will hear about the future of the sugar industry from QSL, supporting agriculture in the region from Townsville Enterprise, a snapshot of trade in North Queensland from the Port of Townsville, using sugarcane to produce biochemicals from Burdekin Renewable Fuels, and more.”
