HEAD TO THE TRACK FOR BURDEKIN’S BIGGEST DAY OF RACING

THE 2022 Burdekin Growers Race Day is expected to draw thousands of people from across North Queensland to the track tomorrow.

Gates will open at 11am. Punters will have the chance to take home a number of prizes.

Nutrien Ag Solutions is the sponsor of the Produce Challenge, in which farmers and novice fruit and vegetable growers will be eligible to win hundreds of dollars in cash.

The Wilmar Sugar stage will also be a hive of activity for the official opening by race club president Ricky Gudge at 12.30pm, followed by live entertainm­ent by Trent Bell.

Comperes Nathan and Bec from HIT 103.1 will keep the program of events running throughout the afternoon, which will include the Brown Brothers Five Categories of Fashion.

Buses to and from the races begin at midday from Brandon, and will depart the race club from 6pm.
