Mangoes thrown in dispute
A MAN threatened to kill his neighbour and threw mangoes at his vehicle, a court has heard.
Anthony John Williams pleaded guilty to two counts of trespassing and two counts of wilful damage when he faced the Ayr Magistrates Court this week.
Police prosecutor Angela Goodwin said Williams approached his victim at 5.30pm on October 20, 2021, and yelled obscenities at him.
He then threw ripe mangoes in the direction of the complainant, which resulted in damage to the victim’s car.
Ms Goodwin said Williams was caught on camera saying “I will kill you, come on to the road you fat c--t”.
On November 9, 2021, Williams trespassed on to the neighbouring property with a ladder and disconnected a CCTV camera attached to a power pole, which was damaged when it dropped to the ground.
Magistrate Viviana Keegan fined Williams a total of $300 and ordered him to pay $352 in compensation. Convictions were recorded.
