Theft from sex shop on camera

A MAN who stole a sex toy from Cupids Cabin has been sentenced in the Ayr Magistrates Court.

Bradley Wayne Mcmullen, 40, pleaded guilty to the charge of stealing when he faced the magistrate on Monday.

CCTV footage from the sex shop showed he stole a vibrator at 12.20pm on April 6, 2022.

Police prosecutor Angela Goodwin said Mcmullen entered the store with a female companion, and placed the item down the front of his pants before he left the store.

Mcmullen’s solicitor said her client was intoxicated at the time of the offence and was embarrassed about it.

Magistrate Viviana Keegan fined Mcmullen $250 and ordered him to pay compensation of $199.95 for the item. A conviction was recorded.
