Hermit Park agents Sonia Ross and Natalie Marr, the property also features a cricket pitch, cybby house, tennis court, a half basketball court, multiple covered entertaining areas, a fire pit, a giant chook pen, bird aviary, two bores, multiple water tanks and 45 solar panels.

The main residence has a huge living area with a projector screen, a kitchen with a large walk-in pantry, a “giant” main bedroom, two further bedrooms and a “massive” carport.

The highset residence has a huge upstairs room, front patio and canteen facilities, while the A-frame structure has a loft, timber flooring and a front deck.

Meanwhile, the transportable residence has a full length front deck, spacious living area and a separate bedroom.

All four residences have airconditioning and security screens.

There is also three sheds, including a “giant” one with toilet and shower amenities”.

“This property is certainly one of a kind and is undeniably irreplaceable,” the listing says, adding that it offered an “array of lucrative investment opportunities”.

Majors Creek is west of Ayr, and about 50km south of Townsville.

The property is for sale for $799,000. That is cheaper than the median house price in 401 Queensland suburbs.

Ms Ross said the property was once home to Majors Creek State School.

Archived documents from Education Queensland shows the school was established in 1933, but when enrolments fell to just 11 students in 1999, the school was “mothballed”, eventually closing in 2009.

“The main structure was designed as a place for everyone to shelter during a cyclone,” Ms Ross said.

“I am not sure if it was ever used as a shelter, but it would have been one of only a few southwest of Townsville.

“It is a really quirky and unique property and it will certainly spark some ideas.”

Ms Ross said the property would be ideal as a getaway for troubled teens, or for use as a health retreat of camp.

She added that a motorsports complex was also being constructed nearby.

The Driveit T NQ Motorsport t and Driver Education Facility, being construct- ed in nearby Calcium, will include a driver r training area, , drag strip, race e circuit, speed- way, dirt motor- khana area, off- road and rally y circuits, a remote control car track, and d possibly a go- kart track.

It is a really quirky and unique property and it will certainly spark some ideas. NATALIE MARR
