Fans of all things 80s will get to immmerse themselves in the decade of big hair and
bigger vocals with All Fired Up at the Townsville Civic Theatre. The 80s musical hits the stage tonight and will turn back time as it tells the story of Tammy Tooth, a woman experiencing a midlife crisis who finds herself transported back forty years, coming face to face with her younger self. As part of the community education strategy, Townsville City Council is hosting Get Ready Townsville at Jezzine Barracks tomorrow. This community event runs from 9am-12pm and will provide residents the chance to equip themselves with the knowledge and resources to deal with natural disasters. It’s aim is to educate new community members on natural disasters, and ensure long-term residents continue to take preparedness seriously.

The Riverway Triathlon
Grand Prix is a fantastic sprint
and enticer triathlon event offering a great racing format over two days. The Grand Prix style racing includes a timed swim, bike, and run with transitions done in your own time and three different legs back to back. With six exciting races over two days, there is something for everyone. The racing kicks of this afternoon at the Riverway Lagoons and Parklands from 4.30pm-7pm. Cost is from $18.50.
