Glenn White’s incoherent rant, about Vikki Campions ‘incoherent rant’, (T/ B 10/11/2022) leaves us to not only know the colour of Glenn’s politics, but it does let us know just what that colour of politics will do to silence (or try to) the right side of politics. Glenn, probably needs to study the word ‘Democracy’, to actually understand that without another side to any argument you have a dictatorship, communist or socialistic regime.

You cannot deride anyone for expressing the view that most of the Climate 200 ‘rants’ were an expensive joke. Our planet has been changing since formation, we have only been on this earth for no more than a heartbeat in time. Therefore, when your side Glenn, trots out these dire warnings and you produce figures from some study by someone who is paid to come up with a view

Glen, then who is ‘incoherent?’ We hear that Labor will give millions of dollars of our money to Pacific nations because of ‘climate change that we have somehow caused.’

I did not give Labor permission to give away so much money, while our General Practitioners are overworked and underpaid. I never gave ‘Climate Labor’ permission to allow our health system here in the north to be ignored. I never give Labor (if I had a voice, but I am only a taxpayer, so I don’t), a hall pass, to allow our aged care system to be nothing short of a disaster. I don’t give my permission to ‘Climate 200 rich contributors’, to demand waste, while our education system is sending our country into the third world. I most definitely do not give Green, Climate 200 Labor permission to disregard our country’s need for water and renege on inspirational generational intestinal fortitude decisions like Hells Gate Dam (Peter Hanley 10/11/2022 ‘rant’).

When the Burdekin Dam was built, we all hailed it as wonderful. Which it is. Look at what we achieved there, but Hells Gates Dam will achieve mega times the impact of the Burdekin Dam. If a government, any government wants to bury an issue, they will bury it in tons of paperwork, boxes of ‘no business case’, and a ‘vague’ claim of a total waste of money.

Delays and business cases create the confusion, yet one glaringly obvious situation is that we need water. We need investment in our health, education and export potential industries. You want to ban plastic, then grow crops that will allow you to sit on bamboo chairs and eat with bamboo or sugarcane by products. Get corn growing for fuel, get Hemp growing for hundreds of reasons. All need water, all need focus on our country, our wellbeing. We need people who live on Earth and not Mars. If you want to know how to live without water and plants, go ask the Martians.
