RACE 6

(1400M)

Logan Street Lion ($3.30) is the starting point after he got the job done at Eagle Farm first-up. Think he will be better over further, but should be enough room on this big track to wind up and get them down again staying at 1400m. Starvirgo ($7) was a surprise winner first-up, but looked good doing it. Has obviously come back in good shape. Ucalledit ($6) is going very well this prep and should work into a nice position not too far from the speed. Fleetwood Maca ($8.50) made a winning debut for the new stable. Figures were modest, but likely has more upside.

SELECTIONS: 9 Logan Street Lion, 7 Starvirgo, 5 Ucalledit, 11 Fleetwood Maca, 1 Star Of Michelin

RACE 7 THE WHARF SWISS ACE PLATE

(1000M)

Je Suis Belle ($2) is a ripper and will be hard to hold out, but looks short enough given there’s some talented opposition there. Simply Fly ($6) beat her at Eagle Farm and is unbeaten over 1000m at Caloundra. They will sit out the back and likely make their runs together again. Goldsborough ($5) should be in front of them in the run and get his chance. He was very good last prep when almost a year between runs. Tipping he can come back even better this prep and happy to go with him at the odds. Centrefire ($14) also had a good prep, but might find the 1000m tempo too slick.

SELECTIONS: 6 Goldsborough, 9 Je Suis Belle, 2 Simply Fly

RACE 8 MOOLOOLABA CUP

(1600M)

Linthorpe Lad ($3.90) comes off a career-best and now steps up in grade again. He enjoyed a lovely run last time and draws out here. Without Revenge ($3.80) is unbeaten in Australia but this is a different class of race. Looks way too short in early markets. His stablemate Street Dancer ($11) turned in a real eyecatcher first-up and up to 1600m on the bigger track second up looks ideal.

She’s The Gift ($21) needs luck from the draw but went well enough last prep to be a good hope in this.

Hasabro ($34) is a knockout hope.

Dzsenifer ($11) is another hope.

SELECTIONS: 11 Street Dancer, 10 Linthorpe Lad, 1 Hasabro, 8 She’s The Gift, 16 Without Revenge

RACE 9 KENDRICK RACING CLASS 6 PLATE

(1200M) Anethole ($5.50) bombed the start in the Kosciuszko and was out of play after that. Ran okay but was never a hope. Before that he ran monstrous sectionals getting home behind Nature Strip and the other A-grade sprinters in The Shorts. His overall record isn’t up to the level of that run, but the fact he did what he did there makes him a terrific gamble coming up against this class of field. Draws to be midfield or so and if he’s on song, think he’s awfully hard to beat. Enabler ($4.40) dictated from the front at Doomben and was too good. He looks like getting another nice run on speed here and be the hardest to run down.

SELECTIONS: 8 Anethole, 9 Enabler
