"We’d been out in the desert shooting away for a few days and we were feeling pretty 'desert cooked' for sure. It was hot as hell and I remember climbing around in the dust on the rocky headland trying to get a good angle of the wave. I ended up in a spot next to our good friend and filmer, Tyge Landa. Tyge was clearly delirious from the heat, but provided me with some entertainment during what seemed like a 40 minute lull. I said to him that it looked like that was it, and the swell had died. For some reason he didn’t agree and felt that Craig was going to get a crazy one. ‘Trust me’ he said. Sure enough... five minutes later the biggest, bluest wave I saw all trip came storming in. Craig rode it like a bucking bronco and nearly got blown off on five different occasions. I was totally baffled when he finally got blown out in the spray, and I will never forget our boy Tyge jumping around like a wildman on the cliff in celebration. Desert cooked and loving it!!!!".
