The team from Mulpha have just announced plans to host a yearly event at Sanctuary Cove that will celebrate all things outdoors, which they're calling Outdoorx. With decades of event-hosting experience, the same team that brings together the hugely successful Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) each year are predicting to attract as many as 30,000 visitors to the first Outdoorx, taking place in September 2019.

Johan Hasser, Mulpha's events general manager, notes that the outdoor recreation industry is presently in an excellent position to respond to growing demand for lifestyle products, believing that the launch of their event couldn't come at a better time.

Outdoorx will showcase a variety of lifestyle categories displayed across seven different precincts: caravans, motorhomes, 4WD, camping, trailerboats, water sports and tourism.

Each precinct will contain various activations and diverse dealer interactive displays, allowing curious attendees and prospective buyers to experience a wide range of products in one go.

“We want Outdoorx visitors to see the vehicles, vessels and gadgets as they've never seen them before and will work closely with our exhibitors to ensure they create custom, innovative and interactive displays that wow the senses,” says Hasser.

Additionally, the show will also feature a range of entertainment and family-friendly activities, making it suitable for the whole entourage.

Caravan and Motorhome Club of Australia CEO Richard Barwick expressed his own positivity, saying: “It is our strong belief that Outdoorx has the potential to become the number one consumer show in Queensland, if not Australia.”

Rob Gallagher, CEO of Outdoorx's official media partner Emprise Group shared a similar sentiment, noting: “This is exactly what the market needs and the public are going to be blown away by the experience.”

So far, exhibitor interest is said to be strong, with a number of major brands already committed to take part, though none of the participating brands have been announced just yet.

Outdoorx will take place from September 13 to 15 at Sanctuary Cove – stay tuned for more information.
