Travelers Choice claimed the AFTA Best Travel Agency Group (50 outlets or more) for the first time since 2015, at the NTIAS in Sydney last month.
The business saw off the challenge of Flight Centre Travel Group and Helloworld Travel, who have claimed the title five and three times respectively.
Travellers Choice CEO, Christian Hunter, said the win “means everything” and capped off a year in which the team had delivered for its members.
“It’s a great acknowledgement of not just the group, but our individual members all around the country,” he said. “We’ve done a lot of good things in the last 12 months... introducing new services. We really try and enhance what we can do to support our members and maybe that was across the line.
“We’ve got an amazing team that’s got less than 20 fulltime employees across the whole business, so we’re not the biggest but everybody plays such an important part and I don’t want to single out one person because they all equally share in this award. So, I want to thank them all.”
