Tramada Systems

-

It was victory at last for Tramada Systems over the weekend as they took home the Best Travel Agent Technology Innovation for their New Distribution Capability.

“It is so great to finally win,” said Susan Enners, Country Manager Australia and New Zealand, Tramada Systems.

“We’ve been a finalist for nine or 10 years so we’re really excited to finally win one.”

Enners attributed their win partly to the company being at the forefront of the New Distribution Capability (NDC) technology that airlines are starting to usher in, beginning with Qantas at the beginning of August.

“We sorted out a way to incorporate NDC into our system...so that when it comes into Tramada we can issue your invoices, your itineraries, your reporting, your payments so it’s all seamless and there for the agencies and for their clients,” said Enners.

After being shocked by their win last year, this time Main Beach Travel came a bit more prepared and were ready to celebrate when they won

Best Travel Agency Leisure – Single Location, taking home the award in back-to-back years.

“Last year when we won, we were blown away. Only my wife and one of our team members were here to accept it, it was so unexpected,” Main Beach Travel Principal Mike Dwyer said.

“This year we brought 15 people because we missed having them with us last year. We were blown away by the recognition.

“We’ll go home and celebrate for a week and then we’ll get back into it because this means we’ve really got to measure up to the standard of being the best travel agency in Australia.

“We all work hard at it, but we never forget how lucky we are to work in this business.”
