Long term strategy for NT
The Northern Territory Government has released its first Long Term Business Events strategy, designed to guide the growth of the sector in the territory for the next 10 years, with the aim of having business events delivering $68 million in delegate expenditure to the territory’s economy by 2030.
The strategy, part of Turbocharging Tourism includes analysis of impediments to growth, the variety of Territory destinations and identification of opportunities to market the NT for business events.
NT Minister for Tourism, Sport and
Culture, Lauren Moss said the Government would invest close to $10 million to attract business events through its Turbocharging Tourism and Turbo2 campaigns, as part of its Long-term Business Events Strategy.
