Long term strategy for NT

The Northern Territory Government has released its first Long Term Business Events strategy, designed to guide the growth of the sector in the territory for the next 10 years, with the aim of having business events delivering $68 million in delegate expenditur­e to the territory’s economy by 2030.

The strategy, part of Turbocharg­ing Tourism includes analysis of impediment­s to growth, the variety of Territory destinatio­ns and identifica­tion of opportunit­ies to market the NT for business events.

Culture, Lauren Moss said the Government would invest close to $10 million to attract business events through its Turbocharg­ing Tourism and Turbo2 campaigns, as part of its Long-term Business Events Strategy.
