Princess returns

-

Princes Cruises last month confirmed its iconic Pacific Princess ship will return to Australian waters in time for the 2020 cruising season.

The 670-passenger ship, which climbed to fame during the TV series, The Love Boat, will join five other Princess vessels for the 2020/21 Australian summer cruising season, marking the cruise line’s 45th anniversary sailing into the country as well as its biggest local deployment to date.

Joining Pacific Princess for the bumper Aussie season will be Majestic Princess, Regal Princess, Sapphire Princess, Sun Princess and Sea Princess, with the vessels representing one-third of the cruise line’s global fleet in an “unprecedented” season for the brand. “Pacific Princess was christened in Australia and became a popular favourite amongst Australian cruisers, offering the first premium cruise experience in the region,” said Princess Cruises Senior Vice President Asia Pacific Stuart Allison. “We can’t wait to welcome her back to our shores and celebrate our 45th anniversary at the same time.” Highlights of the ship’s program includes a 90-day roundtrip voyage from Sydney around South America, a 13-night cruise visiting ports on New Zealand’s North and

South Islands as well as a special 21-night sailing to remote locations in Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
