THE hotel industry in Barcelona has suffered a dip in sales in the wake of ongoing political unrest in the city.

Figures released by STR show Oct continued a recent decline, with the sharpest drop in RevPAR of 27.5% occurring Oct 4.

Before referendum protests broke out in Catalonia, the hotel sector in Barcelona was experiencing strong growth.
