TRAVLR ex­pands in NZ

MEL­BOURNE-BASED travel tech start-up TRAVLR has launched its plat­form in New Zealand af­ter se­cur­ing the tech­ni­cal back­ing of ma­jor travel tech player Amadeus.

TRAVLR en­tered into a Pa­cific- first part­ner­ship with Amadeus which will help the com­pany reach its goal of ex­pand­ing into 20 des­ti­na­tions by 2020.

“To work with a like-minded and committed team, that is also fo­cused on help­ing trav­ellers to sim­ply travel bet­ter, is a dream col­lab­o­ra­tion and part­ner­ship,” said TRAVLR chief ex­ec­u­tive Si­mon te Hen­nepe.

“Se­cur­ing a spot in the Amadeus for Star­tups pro­gram gave us ac­cess to re­sources, men­tor­ship and in­tro­duc­tions to in­flu­en­tial peo­ple,” he added.

The TRAVLR start-up was co- founded by the creators of the on­line Bali travel guide, The Bali Bi­ble, and aims to of­fer ser­vices at all stages of travel in­clud­ing plan­ning, book­ing, and shar­ing, all in one plat­form.
